You’re a fan of Madrone, so you are already a coffee expert. Use this guide to sharpen your coffee knowledge, brewing technique, and hone in on your personal coffee preferences. Keep in mind, these are simply suggested starting points — like anything in life, you'll want to fine tune to your enjoyment.

1 ml of water = 1g water

Add coffee to pot. Add enough water on your first pour to cover grounds. Wait 30 seconds then add remaining water on your second pour. Stir pot, steep then slowly press the filter down.

Pre-rinse filter, add coffee. Pour just enough water into the coffee bed to wet all grounds. Wait for coffee to rise. Slowly and evenly pour remaining water.

Rinse filter. Add coffee. On first pour add enough water to saturate grounds. Wait 30 seconds for bloom. Continue pouring in small circular motions until all water in in Chemex.

Add 1 heaping tablespoon per cup of water to the coffee maker. Make sure the machine is plugged in. Flip the "brew" switch.

Pour coffee grounds into Aeropress. Pour water into the chamber and stir 3 times. Attach filter to chamber. Flip Aeropress onto cup. Plunge for 30 seconds.

Try these tips to troubleshoot when exploring coffee perfection
Coffee too strong?
Try using a coarser grind, adding more water to brew ratio, OR decreasing brew time.
Coffee not strong enough?
Try using a finer grind setting, using less water, OR increasing brew time.
Too Sour?
More brew time, smaller (finer) grind setting.
Too bitter?
Less brew time, larger grind setting.
